I love working with all animals. Our animal friends hold a very special place in my heart. They are really just relatives of our wilder creatures. When I began photographing 'domestic' animals I was blown away by what unfolded in front of the camera. The same techniques that I use with the wild ponies were invaluable. By getting animals to feel really at ease with me and inviting them to share their truest personalities, magic happens. It's a gorgeous experience to be part of helping animals to share who they are most fully.

When I'm photographing, there is always a communication involved in the work. Most of all that is about making sure I'm really seeing and feeling who that unique friend of yours is. During a session, I focus initially to create a sense of calm and trust, a place where relaxation and fun can happen. I take a little time getting to know you both as I work. Once that has been established the photographs flow. This is never about forcing, or tricks to get things to happen. I work intuitively communicating with animals all the time, so this is why I offer something that is a little, niche. I'm flexible, so if you want to involve a direct communication with your animal friend as well as photography then we can work something out. Bespoke sessions are highly recommended and encouraged!
